I am a MAJOR coldplay fan, love their songs, some more than others. I disliked it when I spoke about them infront of my friends cause all they would say is all their material is depressing, well its not.
There newest album Mylo Xyloto is certainly not and thats what they aimed to do and succeeded.
Either it is a Concert, an interview or an awards event, Chris Martin, Jonny Buckland,Will Champion and Guy Berryman all have an input on what they wear, even designing their outfits, especially for their Concerts.
"Making clothes together in our studio makes us feel complete. We probably sound like a group of grannies in a knitting circle but it's the truth and it gives us some control over our visual identity."
What I also love about Coldplay is there creativeness, the Cover for Mylo Xyloto is Graffiti, they printed it on everything from the backdrops for concerts, their clothes and on all their instruments.
"and it was all yellow.."
So far I have been very fortunate to have been able to see them live not once but four times, two times at the Secc in Glasgow, TITP (T In The Park - Festival) and the fourth at Wembley Stadium in London and what was even more amazing was that Jay-Z was also there perfoming with them and Girls Aloud were the opening act.
These are the wrist bands we were all handed as we were going into the concert, at certain songs they would flash, now just picture these on thousands of peoples wrists, in different colours all flashing, imagine that, I was there I seen it happen, mind blowing, clever. They are without a doubt the BEST band to see live, truly recommend them. Well I shall leave you with a little taster if you haven't already heard them before, one of my favourite songs called "Charlie Brown".
